Red Yucca (Hesperaloe parviflora) and Texas Sage (Leucophyllum frutescens)
These two Texas natives were made for each other! They both need little water and almost no maintenance. The grey of the Texas Sage against the coral buds and yellow blooms of the Red Yucca is perfect! These photos were taken this morning on my way to work.

Great combo Donald. The Texas Sage really provides a nice backdrop for the Red Yucca. I was actually planning on doing something similar and now I know that the plants really compliment each other.

Cool, I'm glad you found the combo pleasing!

Your blog is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I am used to only seeing such lush gardens in magazines that always favor coastal areas where they can grow anything with ease. It is very refreshing to see such a beautiful, tasteful and understated landscape right here in north Texas.
