A Trinity of Passion Flowers (Passiflora)

 

Passion Flowers have been given their common name as representations of the passion play.  This morning, I found three in full glory.  They only last one day, so  it's usually smart to cut them and bring them indoors, in order to experience their scent and beauty, up close.

Sweet Autumn Clematis

Last week during our rainy days, I captured this image of the Sweet Autumn Clematis against the sky.

The weekend is forecast to be in the triple digits. I  decided to pick some flowers last night while the temperatures aren't so  bad. The arrangement consists of Celosia, Cuphea, Cosmos, and  Gomphrena. If the bottom photo looks like a larger bouquet, it's  because the background is  an old  painting with a bouquet of flowers.
